Thai Song Dam Performing Arts for Youth

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, organized a workshop entitled “Thai Song Dam Performing Arts for Youth” during June 11–12, 2025, at Wat Ko Rat (Upai Phet Pittayakarn) School, Bang Pla Subdistrict, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The activity aimed to promote learning and preserve the local wisdom of Thai Song Dam dance among local youth. The training was conducted in two phases: 1️⃣ Practical dance training with local masters of the Thai Song Dam tradition 2️⃣ Dance practice for students in Grades 4–6 based on the Thai Song Dam performing arts style The workshop was led by lecturers from the Thai Dance and Performing Arts Program, headed by Ms. Korwipa Laosrirattanachai, Program Chair, who closely imparted knowledge and hands-on skills to the students. This initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to building community-based learning networks and sustaining the unique cultural identity of the local community for future generations.
