The project “Integrating Humanities and Social Sciences for Local Development.”

On May 7, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, organized the project “Integrating Humanities and Social Sciences for Local Development.” The key activity, “Studying and Collecting Community Identity Data and Surveying Development Needs for Community Capacity Building,” took place at the Bang Pla Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province.
The project aimed to provide an academic platform for faculty members and students to work collaboratively in studying and collecting data related to community identity, as well as analyzing problems and development needs of the Bang Pla Subdistrict community. Associate Professor Dr. Piyawan Pinkaeo, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, led the executive team, lecturers, and students from all 17 academic programs to participate and engage in the process with the local community.
The opening ceremony was honored by Mr. Kriangwit Wiriya-hiranphaiboon, President of the Village Headmen and Subdistrict Chiefs Association of Nakhon Pathom Province, who delivered the opening remarks. He was joined by Mr. Rungroj Phet-yuan, Deputy Mayor of Bang Pla Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and Mr. Sam-ang Wongbuttree, Chief Administrator of Bang Pla Subdistrict Administrative Organization.
The project was conducted in collaboration with local stakeholders, including community leaders, village headmen, and local schoolteachers, through focus group discussions to reflect on community identity and assess problems and needs for capacity development. The discussions were divided into three thematic groups: Education, Social Development, and Local Economy and Cultural Wisdom.
